Cap City Comedy Slam FAQ



  • No refunds – ID will be required at the time of will call pickup & upon entering the venue.
  • Lineup and set times are subject to change.
  • Everyone and everything is subject to search at all entry points.
  • Any alcohol consumption will require valid ID and age verification
  • No unauthorized selling of any kind
  • Re-entry will be allowed with a valid ticket.

What are the hours of the event?

Doors: 6:00 pm

Show Start: 7:00 pm

End: 10:00 pm

Are there any age restrictions?

Cap City Comedy Slam is an 18+ event. No person’s under age 18 will be permitted into the venue.

Is it ADA accessible?

There are ADA seating areas in the middle of the venue.

Are pets allowed?

Animals are not permitted with the exception of certified service dogs.

What are my parking options at the event?

There is plenty of parking near Crest Theater. Please be aware of all street signs. Garage parking is available at the City Hall and Capital Garages. Check out the parking map here > https://www.crestsacramento.com/parking-and-directions/

Where can I purchase my tickets?

Online at www.crestsacramento.com, www.KSFM.com OR at the Box Office located at 1013 K Street, Sacramento, CA.

* The Crest Box Office is open Monday through Friday 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased during this time.

What is the refund policy?

Tickets purchased for events at Crest Theater are non-refundable. All ticket sales are final. Refunds are only issued if an event is cancelled.

Is there a lost and found?

Lost & found will be located on site at concessions.

Will there be ATMs on site?

No there will not be ATMs on site, please plan accordingly. The venue accepts cash, debit and credit cards for tickets, concessions and alcohol purchase.


WARNING: All tickets are scanned before entry is allowed. If you purchase a ticket from a re-seller/scalper, we will not honor or credit fake tickets. Official tickets can only be purchased at www.crestsacramento.com or www.KSFM.com


Promoters, artists, consultants, vendors and any other party affiliated with Entercom Sacramento, Entercom Live and Crest Theater are not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. All patrons are solely responsible for any personal items that are brought into, onto, or around the event.


All bags are subject to search upon entry, and within the venue. Prohibited items should be disposed of in trash or recycle containers, or may be returned to one's vehicle. 


Prohibited Items

  • Weapons of any kind including by not limited to guns, knives, pepper sprays, stun guns. 
  • Alcohol and food purchased outside the venue (Crest Theatre or Empress Tavern)
  • Large backpacks or large bags


Anyone possessing PROHIBITED items will be asked to return them to their vehicles before being allowed to enter the venue or will be asked to dispose of the item/items in the garbage cans provided at the gate.
