SERVED FRESH!: @bep (The Black Eyed Peas) - "BACK 2 HIP HOP (f/ Nas)" (Video)

December 17, 2018

In the pre-Fergie days of The Black Eyed Peas, the trio was known for their ability to bring their fun-loving energy to the traditional sample-heavy Hip Hop genre.
Songs like "Joints & Jam" and "What It Is" became party-rocking anthems in the early 2000's.

When their album Elephunk introduced the world to Fergie to major success, BEP started taking aim at mainstream virality.
The results would be chart-topping hits "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Got A Feeling" that pulled the group away from their Hip Hop roots to take on the timely EDM sensation that was sweeping the world.

In 2017, Will.I.Am was quoted saying that Fergie would be leaving the group and pursuing her career as a solo artist.

In June of 2018, the group released their Fergie-less seventh studio album Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 to high acclaim for seemingly returning to their early roots with a new twist.
Today, the Peas state that they're going "BACK 2 HIP HOP" with the release of the insanely CGI'd featuring Nas.
