Steph Curry releases GiRL "ICON CURRY 6" Shoes on International Women's Day #MiaInTheMorning

March 12, 2019

Let's send a big shout out to Steph Curry for doing what's right.

Remember a couple of months ago when a 9 year old girl called him out because she couldn't find the curry shoes in girl sizes?

Steph ended up replying to her and changed the situation......

Steph released the Under Armour Icon Curry 6 "United We Win," on INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY it was designed with a blend of purple and deep orchid with white. The inside of the shoe features a sock liner that shows girls playing basketball, surrounded by the words like "Be Fearless," "Girl Power," "Be the Change" and Girls Hoop Too."

Under Armour said that Curry had "wanted to create a Curry 6 colorway to celebrate International Women's Day and honor the women in his life, the son, brother, husband and father to two daughters could not have predicted how monumental that decision would be."

Look at what the power of a voice can create. 9-year old Riley Morrison wrote a letter to @stephencurry30 to let him know she could not find his signature shoe in girl sizes. 5 months later, she co-designed the #UAIcon “United We Win” #Curry6 for International Women’s Day. That’s how you #RuinTheGame. -- @uabasketball’s IG story for the full interaction. #WEWILL
