Let me tell you #WhatsGood in #Sacramento

The Sacramento Kings have kicked off their “Rally the Vote” initiative with many, many sports teams across the country and are working with non-profit RISE (ROSS INITIATIVE IN SPORTS FOR EQUALITY) to focused on encouraging fans to get in the game and make their voice heard by registering to vote and participating in elections. Mia Amor has the opportunity to speak with RISE CEO "DIAHANN BILLINGS BURFORD" and the importance of voting in 2020 and how this will impact our community.

Earlier this year the "KCRA 3" reported the Sacramento Kings are working alongside Sacramento County elections to open up the arena for voters in the upcoming election.

The team is offering the space free of charge and plans to follow all state mandates to implement social distancing.

Free parking will also be made available in the Downtown West Garage.

What is RISE:

A national nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, champion social justice and improve race relations.

Through partnerships and programs, we inspire leaders in sports to create positive change on matters of race and equality.
