OVER 50 CARS SHUT DOWN I-5 SATURDAY LEADING TO ARRESTS AND IMPOUNDS

VIDEO : A pair of brazen sideshows in Sac were caught on video (FYI, videos can be used to catch people).

Maybe you were out and about on Saturday afternoon and got stuck in traffic on I-5. That...or you just have social media and saw that there were hella cars blocking the freeway - once near National Drive and North Market Boulevard exits, and another near Florin Road - doing sideshows.

NO, this really isn't Oakland.

And YES, 2006 was over a decade ago. 

But as video shows and KCRA News reports, traffic shut down, people got out of their cars, and donuts were done all over the pavement. (I am really curious what music was playing though; Mac Dre? Fab? My money is on anything Bay). And as you can imagine, authoriites weren't too happy about it. 

So that was then...this is now: 7 arrested, 27 citations and 9 vehicles were impounded.

Oh the power of video and social media. And yes, California Highway Patrol uses social media as well.  

Even KCRA newsman, Mike Luery even tweeted about the segment.
