Did you think that fireworks were exceptionally loud this year in your neighborhoods?  As the country was in the middle of a tough Summer because of the Covid pandemic and many fireworks shows were shut down, in their place, many across the county took the matter into their own hands and put on their own fireworks shows in their neighborhoods.   That increase of activity also caused a surge of complaints across the country and as the Sacramento City Council gets ready to meet on Tuesday, potentially banning ALL fireworks may be on the table.

The Sacramento police recieved 6x more complaints this June than last year according to the Sacramento Bee

The Law & Legislation Committee will meet tomorrow at 1p to provide direction to the City Manager on amending the Sacramento City code to restrict the use of legal fireworks and seek direction on illegal fireworks mitigation plan.   To read the full Ordinance Amendment Relating to Fireworks: Click Here
