Sacramento hospitals see surge of Covid cases as California passes 1 million cases

November 12, 2020

As California hit the terrible milestone of 1 million cases of Covid-19 across the state, here locally in Sacramento, hospitalization of Covid-19 cases has been surging.  According to the Sacramento Bee, Hospitals have been treating over double the amount of patients vs last month ( 74 in October, 158 this week)  and patients in the ICU have doubled in just two weeks.

Sacramento and many counties across the country have been forced to move back to more restrictive tiers as numbers have surged which have been attributed to Halloween parties several weeks ago and and more household gatherings as people continue to let their guard down.

As many fear even more grim numbers coming this winter, officials continue to urge people to be diligent in their social distancing practices and continue to wear masks when in public spaces.
