A week after shutting down hair salons and barbershops for a second time this year, Governor Newsom has announced that Caifornia has released new guidelines that could allow those services to open up and operate outdoors.

Some of the new guidelines include that outdoor operations must be conducted under a tent, a canopy, or other sun shelter as long as no more than one side is closed, allowing sufficient outdoor air movement and also that salons should not perform a service that would require a customer to have to enter the establishment.

Face coverings remain a requirement.
