California ended up being one of the earliest states in the nation to put in place stay at home orders and push social distancing, and it seems that the hard work may be paying off as Governor Newsom shared an update showing that the number of hospitalizations are "holding onto the bottom part of the model" which, without the social distancing measures, showed the possibility of almost 700,000 people being hospitalized for COVID-19.

Newsom also said that California and other states in the region are beginning to determine the proper steps to ease coronavirus restrictions, though reiterating how important it is, that we continue to be diliigant in our effors on staying at home and socially distancing.
