The impact on sports due to the coronavirus pandemic continues on as The International Olympic Committee has announced they will be postponing the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.  The IOC had hoped to wait until the end of April to make their decision, but given how fast the pandemic has progressed they have made the decision to postpone.  No word on if it will be moved to 2021, and what impact that will have on the future Olympic events as they have been spaced out every 4 years resulting in either a Summer or Winter Olympics every two years.

Many countries had already promised to pull their athletes even if the IOC decided to move forward, and many Olympic training centers like the one in Colorado Springs, CO had been closed because of the social distancing and shelter in place orders across the country.
