Sacramento county is moving back to the more restrictive 'Purple Tier' because of a spike in Covid-19 cases.

The Sacramento Bee reported Sacramento county averaged 9.7 new daily cases per 100,000 people in the last week of October. The reported cutoff for the 'Red Tier' is 7 new daily cases per 100,000 people.

Under the new tier businesses, restaurants and houses of worship will be asked to halt or limit indoor servies.
