Megan Thee Stallion Trademarking 'Hot Girl Summer'

July 23, 2019

Megan the Stallion is taking a page out of Cardi B's book!

The up-and-coming female rapper is gaining worldwide recognition through her coined phrase "Hot Girl Summer."

According to Billboard, the 24-year-old rapper is working towards trademarking the saying

Can you blame her it's been the motto this entire summer, go ahead and capitalize on your genius girl!

A fan even asked Megan if she was making moves towards monetizing the phrase and the rapper confirmed she working on it via Twitter.

The phrase has already been used in advertisements for Forever 21, Maybelline and even Wendy's! Talk about hopping on the trends.

The story sounds all too familiar, earlier this year Cardi attempted to trademark her infamous phrase 'Okurrr.' It was ultimately denied by the U.S. Patent Office because the phrase is commonly used.

We'll have to wait and see if the same fate awaits 'Hot Girl Summer' but for now let's keep using it as our go to caption on IG because it's only a matter of time until Sad Boy Fall rolls around :(
