A recent study has deemed January 19th as 'quitters day' because it's the day most people are likely to abandon their New Year's Fitness goals. 

Bianca V asked listeners to share their top tips to sticking with their fitness goals. Listen below for some of our favorites! 

The best tips listeners shared include: Sticking to a routine, taking before and after/progress pictures and staying postive throughout your journey! 

Here are Bianca V's Top 5 Tips to stay motivated with your fitness goals: 

1. Find an Accountability Partner/Workout with a Friend 

Having someone to hold you accountable can help you stick with your goals. When you schedule a meet up time with your workout partner you might be more likely to show up because you gave someone your word! Also it can make working out more enjoyable because you're spending quality time with another person. 

2. Use Social Media as a Resource

At times social media can be super distracting, but when it comes to helping you with your fitness it can be one of your BIGGEST tools! Whether you're getting inspired from a personal trainer online or following a workout class on YouTube from the comfort of your home there are countless resources you can find on YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest. 

Often fitness bloggers and trainers post their tips and workouts online. You can find everything from videos to what they eat in a day to daily workout videos. Of course do your research and figure out what works best for you, but this is a great place to start and gather information. 

3. Find Workouts YOU Enjoy

Although your coworker may enjoy crossfit that doesn't mean it has to be your thing. Find a workout you enjoy, try out different classes. There are a ton of different ways to get moving. Whether that's a dance class, kickboxing, cycling or yoga. Don't be afraid to try something new like attending your first group workout or stepping off the treadmill and running outside. 

The more you enjoy your workout the more likely you'll be to stick through it! 

4. Treat Yourself to Some Gym Accessories

Buying some new gym gear could inspire you to go to the gym! Investing in a good pair of running shoes or gym clothes could give you that extra boost of confidence and help you stick to that routine! 

This doesn't mean you have to break the bank, it can be as simple as treating yourself to new water bottle. Sometimes having an item that reminds you to go the gym can be helpful!

5. It Doesn't Have to be Perfect! Start Now

You don't have to be a super ultra marathon runner a month into working out. Start where you can. Focus on getting moving and breaking a sweat. You can do that in the comfort of your living room by dancing along to a zumba video! 

You might be in the middle of trying to find the best gym for you, but you can still take your dog on a walk in the morning. As long as you're moving, you're making progress towards a healthier you.
