The Elk Grove Food Bank is currently asking for donations. Organizers estimate the non-profit could run out of food in about 15 days.

ABC10 reports that the Food Bank serves almost 1,400 seniors, and with the Coronavirus outbreak they're serving nearly 30 clients an hour.

Although they are requesting emergency funding from the city of Elk Grove, the food bank is not turning down donations from citizens.

They are currently asking for non perishable goods and fresh produce. All donations can be dropped off at 9820 Dino Dr. #140 in Elk Grove.

Other ways you can help your community at this time are by donating blood and supporting local businesses.

Hospitals and the Red Cross Organization are in high demand for blood donations at the time. Donate today if your health permits it. Click HERE for more information.

Sacramento is also making an effort to support local business at this time. Although many restaurants have gotten rid of dine-in services, many establishments are offering take out and delivery. Find the full list of restaurants offering these services HERE
