November 20, 2020

The cutest baby alive has been crowned.

People has given the title to Anderson Cooper’s son, Wyatt Morgan.

The 53-year-old CNN anchor welcomed his baby boy via surrogate on April 27.

He shared the news shortly after on his show.

"On Monday, I became a father," he said. "I've never actually said that before, and it still kind of astonishes me. I am a dad. I have a son.”

"He is named after my dad who died when I was 10 years old," he explained. Morgan is a name from the family tree of his mother Gloria Vanderbilt, who died last year.

"I never thought it would be possible to have a child, and I am so grateful for all those who have paved the way, and for the doctors and nurses and everyone involved in my son's birth,” he said thanking his surrogate.

When asked about parenthood a few months into it, the newborn father told the publication: "It feels like my life has actually begun.”

"I sort of wonder, what was I waiting for? This is a new level of love," he added. "It's unlike anything I've experienced, and yet it's also very familiar and incredibly special and intimate. It's really extraordinary."

Cooper co-parents his 6-month old son with former partner Benjamin Maisani.

Wyatt Morgan takes the title from 2019’s cutest baby, Benjamin Allen, the son of “Bravo” star and Cooper’s close friend, Andy Cohen.

Cooper often updates his Instagram followers on Wyatt’s developments including that he started teething.

At 10-weeks old, he said Wyatt loves “naps and milk, bath time and being read to.”
