Well that didn’t take long. Just weeks after expressing a desire to play professional baseball and showing off his skills for Major League scouts, Tim Tebow has reportedly landed a deal with the New York Mets. Check out the video of him going threw the training exercises.

Several teams were said to be interested in taking a chance on the former NFL quarterback and the Mets apparently saw enough upside in signing him to a minor league contract. He’s expected to be sent to theĀ Arizona Fall League or the Instructional League. The 29-year-old Heisman Trophy winner hasn’t played baseball since his junior year in high school, but showed off impressive power and fielding capabilities during his workout last month. (ESPN)
