The California State Fair opens up today and will be here till July 24th! I know a lot of people that absolutely love the state fair and others that aren’t much fans of it. Mostly because it’s “too expensive.” I hear this every year. Well, take it from someone who loves the state fair, ME! I bet you didn’t know how many deals the state fair offers? Plus, see other ways you can save. Check them out below!
Looking to check out a concert on the Golden One Stage but maybe don’t want to purchase the front row seating? Get there early and get a wrist band so you can sit in the free seats! No need to stand!
Tuesdays: All rides are $2; kids 12 and under receive free admission.
Wednesdays and Thursdays (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.): You can get $2 snack-bites from all vendors.
Fridays: Seniors 62 and older pay $8 for admission and ride free on the Grand Carousel and Giant Wheel.
July 14: Free admission for active or retired military and veterans (with ID).
July 21: Free admission for first responders and law enforcement (with ID).
You can also save by bringing your own food and drinks. Ice chests and coolers are allowed but will be searched before entry. No glass, aluminum cans or outside alcohol are allowed, of course.
