Looks like even Nicki Minaj can’t escape the discomfort of airport security.

While traveling to the Phillipines yesterday Nicki took to Twitter to fill her fans in on her less than enjoyable traveling experience.

As the TSA adds more and more rules to their security check-ins it causes frustration to all passengers involved. Scientific American writer David Pogue explains that outdated screening rules aren’t making for safer skies—just longer lines in his recent article “The TSA’s Dumb Air-Security Rules Are Not Based on Science.”

Pougue writes, “If it were all based on science and reason, critics might not be calling these new procedures ‘security theater’—an elaborate show to convince people that the authorities are doing something rather than nothing.”

In Nicki’s opinion, this ‘security theater’ was to make a spectacle of her as she attempted to make her way through what thousands of people do every day — get on an airplane.

After some followers advised her to “accidentally” sneeze in the woman’s face, Nicki shared a photo.

Turns out this wasn’t the only bad experience the sick singer had to deal with.

While there is no law to not take photos at an airport as it’s a public place, The Seattle Times reports it may still get you in trouble. Often officials assume that “there’s a link between photography and terrorism so anyone taking pictures of airports that terrorists could put in their crosshairs becomes suspect,” Christopher Elliott writes.

Mickey Osterreicher, the general counsel of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), explained that there are only two public areas in the U.S. where you can’t take photos: military bases and nuclear facilities. “The warnings are clearly posted,” he said. “Otherwise, if the public is allowed, then so are their rights.”
