Vanilla Ice‘s Florida mansion was in jeopardy of being foreclosed on.

Vanilla Ice lives in a community in Palm Beach.  Hurricane Wilma destroyed some palm trees in 2005. The homeowners association levied a $2,800 per homeowner assessment on each property owner to cover the cost of replacement and VI never paid his portion so the homeowners association tried to foreclose on his property in an effort to collect the money.

Ice’s lawyers, Bradford Cohen and Joseph LoRusso, said “The issue stemmed from Mr. VanWinkle (aka Vanilla Ice) being unaware of any outstanding charges. As soon as he was made aware of the situation it was completely resolved.”

Ice’s lawyers went on to say “It is surprising that the association chose to waste funds on filing an action against our client.”

Looks like the problems have been resolved for now!
