There are all kinds of rumors floating around that Nicole Scherzinger is going to be replaced as a judge on The X Factor USA. It was said that Simon Cowell was considering replacing Nicole with Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland. Nicole apparently wants to leave the show because she is not comfortable with judging or seeing contestants being eliminated. Must have a whole lot to do with Nicole’s deadlock decision that made Rachel Crow go home the first season.
It looks like the awesome Mariah Carey heard Nicole may leave as a judge and she told Simon she would be willing to take her place!

“Mariah dragged her feet for a while about appearing on the show, but now she’s ready for her grand entrance. She wants to be a judge and she is in secret talks with Simon Cowell. The two are good friends and she promised to help pull in monster ratings this coming season”.

To have the “Best Selling Female Artist”
on XFactor would be amazing,
Mariah Carey is way more than qualified.
She is one of the few artists that really know
the true meaning of music. The fact that she
pours her heart and soul into all of her music
is just awesome. Not to mention she is a songwriter,
who has written most of her #1hits.
Mariah Carey would honestly in my opinion be the
best thing that could happen to XFactor.
Can you imagine the “views” all the Lambs on this land.
Yeahhhh….. XFactor… You Need Mariah Carey.

Voted for Neither. They’re both talented women, but honestly Nicole is kinda annoying and Mariah will do everything to get attention every week. Yeah, she may deserve it, because she’s really famous and everything, but the attention of the show should be on the contestants NOT on the judges (what happened A LOT on the first season). They really need to change on this aspect

I understand what you mean. However though, let me just point out that Mariah doesn’t do things to get attention. Mariah herself is a very powerful, influential, and talented artist and lots of people are just interested on whatever she does. Mariah’s talent alone will truly overshadow contestants. I agree that it should be about the contestants. I may love Mariah but she’s simply too MASSIVE for the show. If Nicole is a star, Mariah is a SUPER-MEGA-STAR. The brightest, the biggest, of all stars. In short, Simon Cowell would be so lucky to have MC on his show.

Mariah Carey is too good for the show but I kinda want her to do it. In talent, she certainly has it, she could really help contestants. But she’s the BEST SELLING FEMALE ARTIST OF ALL TIME, she is too big for the show. And besides she’s got a studio album coming out this year and a re-release of her 2010 Christmas album Merry Christmas II You at the end of the year. She’d be very busy. But hey, she was not dubbed the HARDEST WORKING FEMALE ARTIST for nothing, maybe she’d do it. Queen Mariah, been slaying for over 20 years. Her achievements are incomparable. Love you Mimi. <3

She is over qualified. But I’m sure lambs all over the world would love to see MC be on X-Factor. And regarding that “monster ratings this coming season”? Oh yes totally. Mariah pulled in millions for her less than 25 minute appearance on 20/20. She could totally do it. And yes, an album this year. The queen is back. Talent wise, Mariah will overshadow every contestant. Mariah is also more successful and more powerful than Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid. They should consider themselves lucky if ever Mariah says yes to this. However, with an album coming out this year, I don’t think the best-selling female artist of all time will have time for a show like X-Factor. Also in the past season, Mariah has been covered about 5 times. I think that’s more than any artist except of those theme artists. Extremely influential, extremely talented, extremely intelligent, and extremely successful, I think she’s over-qualified.
